How we started
TriboTonic was established in June 2019 by Dr Rich Baker. Having graduated from Imperial College London with a Maths degree, Masters in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in tribology, Rich went to work in the automotive sector for Ford Motor Company as a design Engineer. He later joined PCS Instruments where he was instrumental in sales and product marketing guaranteeing the roll out of their tribology equipment.
TriboTonic was founded based on the principle of ensuring customers receive a tailored approach to their tribology, fuels and lubricant problems. We offer a friendly service ensuring we listen to our customers challenges and deliver solutions that are fit for purpose. Beyond instrument sales, we offer servicing and annual service contracts, as well as supplying specimens and spare parts.
TriboTonic distributes tribology equipment on behalf of PCS Instruments and Falex, as well as the IQT product range on behalf of CFR Engines Canada across Europe. We additionally supply ASTM standard specimens on behalf of Metaspec.
